Sergio Menchini

 

Sergio is a professor of Civil Procedure at Università di Pisa and has, over the years, held a professorship in Bankruptcy Law.
 
A lawyer since 1984, he assists companies, financial institutions and [economic and non-economic] public entities on matters of corporate, bankruptcy and civil law, as well as insolvency proceedings.
 
Sergio has gained significant experience in defending leading financial institutions in legal proceedings, regulatory litigation and also liability actions, bankruptcy claw-back actions and actions for damages.
 
He has worked for many years as legal advisor to companies and financial institutions in insolvency proceedings and company reorganisations and, upon appointment by creditor arrangement and bankruptcy liquidation authorities, in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
 
With regard to civil litigation, Sergio regularly offers legal assistance in the highest courts, with particular reference to the Corte Suprema di Cassazione (Supreme Court).
 
He has been appointed arbitrator in ad hoc arbitration procedures; he is also a registered arbitrator for  The Milan Chamber of  Arbitration of (Milan Chamber of Commerce) and in that capacity he has been appointed arbitrator in administered arbitration procedures.
 
He speaks Italian and English.
